Something LLC is a locally owned manufacturer building an alternative to mortared masonry and stick framing: an interlocking compressed earth block designed to go together faster, self-align every course, and hold up for the long haul.

Each block starts as compressed earth, pressed at far higher compression than standard compressed earth block production. We blend in Atal, our proprietary mix of natural biological additives and carefully measured percentages of cement-like binders — not concrete, not traditional rammed earth, something new. We're testing every batch in our own lab, and we publish results as they come in. Whether you're a homeowner, contractor, or developer, reach out and we'll tell you honestly what the block is ready for.

H-Shape Interlock Technology

Each block features a raised H-shape key on the top and a matching recessed channel on the bottom. Stack them and they lock: no mortar, no guesswork, no settling.

  • H-Shape Key: Top Face The raised H-shape profile on top keys into the course above, preventing lateral shift and lift.
  • Interlock Channel: Bottom Face The recessed channel on the bottom receives the block below, creating a self aligning connection every row.
  • Atal: Proprietary High Compression Blend Compressed far beyond standard earth block production and blended with natural biological additives and cement-like binders, formulated for strength, weather resistance, and longevity. Lab testing is ongoing and results will be posted here.
  • Dry Stack Ready No mortar needed. The H-shape interlock holds each course in place from the first block on.

Each block's H-shape key seats into the interlock channel of the block beside it, locking an entire course together automatically, no mortar required.

Why Walls Fail

Mortar joints crack, water gets in, and the wall slowly comes apart. A dry-stacked, interlocked wall has no mortar joints to fail — that is the whole idea behind our block.

Five Steps from Ground to Wall

No special tools. No mortar. No mason required.

1

Prepare Your Base

Level the ground and lay a firm, compacted gravel or sand base for your first course.

2

Set the First Course

Place your first row of blocks with the H-shape key facing up, aligning to your layout string.

3

Lock Each Row

Drop the next course down: the bottom channel seats over the H-shape key below and locks in place.

4

Stack to Height

Repeat up the wall. Every course self aligns and self locks for a solid, plumb structure.

5

Cap the Top

Finish with a cap course to level the top of your wall. It locks the final row in place and gives the structure a clean, polished look.

Inspired by the Past. Built for the Future.

Long before modern concrete, ancient builders fit stone together so precisely it needed no mortar at all, walls that have outlasted empires. That's the same principle behind Something LLC's H-shape interlock: a building block designed to lock together without mortar, rebar, or guesswork — and built to last.

"At Something LLC, we're not just making blocks, we're building connection between past and future. We are building something meant to last."

Jacob Stevens, Founder
